Madeline Powell is a New York-based performing artist driven by a joyful pursuit of collaboration, music, and play. Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, she spent much of her youth entertaining audiences of all kinds with other local musicians. Though she has preformed all of her life, her first bona fide professional theatrical gig did not come until after she graduated with a BM in Music Theater from Oklahoma City University. Just one year post-grad, Madeline found herself leading the 2nd National Tour of Bartlett Sher’s Lincoln Center Production of My Fair Lady in the iconic role of Eliza Doolittle.
Madeline is a gifted musical theater creative who is as passionate about The Great American Songbook as she is excited about the development of new work. While she takes pride in her vocal prowess, so too does she value her craftsmanship as an actor, both onstage and in front of the camera. Ask Madeline about her love of improv comedy, Meisner in Music, or The Performing Arts Project, where she worked as an Artistic Intern under the cherished guidance of Jonathan Bernstein.
